does the army disqualify you if you have prk eye surgery not laser prk before you enlist? i would really like to know because i am 18 and planning to have prk surgery because it is way better then laser but i want to know if the armed forces disqualify you for enlistment if you have surgery?

But they do make you get a waiver,
And you generally have to wait at least one year after getting the eye surgery to enlist.

No. They only disqualify you if your pre-surgical refractive error was more than plus or minus eight diopters, six months has not yet gone by since you had the surgery, you have not had two post-surgical vision exams since the surgery (3 months apart) and your post-surgical refractive error is greater than plus or minus 0.25 spherical and/or plus or minus 0.50 cylindrical, or there have been complications, including the use of opthalmic solutions after the surgery.
